Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victim witnesses within court contexts. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants to her name, is also the recipient of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has consulted with various countries and agencies around the world on policies and research on child victimization in the court system. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
